Foreign language learning is more important than ever before. While English is a pervasive international language, other languages (such as Chinese) are gaining in importance. Raising a bilingual child can be fun (both of my kids speak English and German). In fact, one of my first NPR interviews was on the topic.
This book, 7 Steps to Raising a Bilingual Child, is a super resource for learning how to raise your child in a bilingual environment. I found most of the tips to be right on. And what a great way to unplug, connect, and have fun while learning!
