The folks over at first Look Studies released Frank on DVD on August 12, so I'm a little late in telling you about this adorable movie. But seeing as back-to-school is here, you may wish to recapture a moment of summer fun as the Labor Day weekend is in full swing.
Written by Robin Bradford and directed by Douglas Cheney, FRANK follows the story of a mangy mutt and how he brought a troubled family closer together.
What's it about?
When a family retreats to their summer cabin, they hope the idyllic lakeside setting will wash away their petty squabbles and day-to-day worries. But before the coals on the first campfire are cool, their world is turned upside down when their son stumbles upon the creature “terrorizing” the locals — a big, drooling, lovable mutt, FRANK. Much to Dad’s (Jon Gries, Napoleon Dynamite) dismay, Frank may eat his lunch or slobber on his important project, but it is Frank who saves the day and reminds their teenage daughter and rambunctious 9-year-old son that family vacations are about being together and loving one another.
